Moog is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Manager. You will develop the advanced manufacturing strategy for the manufacturing , and assembly of future Moog produced products.

As the subject matter expert, you will drive the selection, evaluation and implementation of manufacturing-based technologies for prototype and production processes across CAG facilities.

You will collaborate with both the design / manufacturing engineering teams and quality to develop highly advanced manufacturing technology and automation. This includes ensuring manufacturability, process capability and the application of DFMEA and APQP.

You will also be responsible for budgeting, skill development and project management for advanced manufacturing processes.

You will report to the Senior Vice President Commercial OEM Division located in East Aurora, New York.

As an Advanced Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Accountable for managing complex and multi-dimensional projects and initiatives involving influencing large multifunctional teams.

  • You will deliver:

    • Definition of manufacturing concepts, analytical studies, development and support of prototype and production manufacturing processes. Including equipment, fixturing, and tooling and establishment of manufacturing technical requirements for vendors, design for manufacturability, and support of customer and internal design reviews.

    • Analysis for proposed design/process changes, capital equipment evaluation and selection for the advanced manufacturing processes and corresponding capabilities.

    • Support for Customer technical reviews introducing of new manufacturing and assembly technologies that will result in new business opportunities.

    • Definition/modification of requirements, review/approval of process, technical interface activities regarding manufacturability and assembly automation.

  • Establish relationships with suppliers and research associations to remain on the cutting edge of technology. Resulting in the development of additional or complementary technical capabilities to implement the concepts required for the advanced manufacturing and assembly processes to be successful.

  • Maintain a level of technical acumen in the areas of advanced manufacturing and assembly, including but not limited to automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, machining, assembly, sensors, and non-contact inspection systems. of new technologies to these processes.

To be considered for the Advanced Manufacturing Manager role, here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an engineering or manufacturing related subject and a minimum of ten (10) years related experience.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills are required in the form of written, verbal, and presentation.

  • Black Belt and/or Six Sigma Certified, or Lean Certification preferred.

  • Strategic and tactical focus.

  • Ability to work within the confines of capital and expense budgets to maximize capabilities and meet performance objectives.

  • Travel approximately: 10-20%

  • Ability to relocate to East Aurora, New York / Western New York area.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $135,000.00-$185,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
