Department Information

Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) serves the Institute and its more than 14,000 employees through strategic counsel, employee engagement, and essential human capital management operations. As the people's unit, GTHR is engaged throughout the employee's lifetime at Georgia Tech. Our team works with sensitive employee information and assists in the management of complex employee issues. Professionalism and confidence are of the utmost importance within our team.

What we do:
  • Process payroll and maintain employment data for approximately 14,000 active faculty, staff, and students
  • Strive to attract, recruit, and retain the best talent in the marketplace.
  • Provide immigration, labor, and tax support required for foreign national faculty and staff to work at Georgia Tech and support employees performing services overseas.
  • Leverage a market-driven compensation structure to attract and retain employees.
  • Advise employees and managers regarding work performance and conflict management.
Job Summary

Manage enterprise-level programs and portfolios through administrative support, data analysis, tracking, and reporting. Oversee and support project execution through continual coordination of program/portfolio plans, data analysis, reporting, and education.

  • This position will interact on a regular basis with faculty, staff, and vendors.
  • This position typically advises and counsels faculty, staff, and vendors and supervises NA.
Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Manage all aspects of assigned programs throughout the project life-cycle to ensure completion within the defined scope, quality, and time and cost constraints.

Job Duty 2 -

Compile and respond to data requests to facilitate the development of recommendations to address/resolve potential and existing Institute and unit-level challenges.

Job Duty 3 -

Develop data analysis, financial modeling, and bench-marking for project requests and initiatives.

Job Duty 4 -

Design, develop, and maintain tools and processes for portfolio management and enterprise-level tracking.

Job Duty 5 -

Assist in the creation and delivery of materials for project/program management education and mentoring.

Job Duty 6 -

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience

Five to seven years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Expertise in strategy development and innovation.
  • Experience working with research-focused organizations.
  • Strong understanding of process mapping and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with high-level executives across various institutional units.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proposed Salary

Pay Range: $72,783-$75,000/yr.

ABILITIES

This position requires the ability to travel, and working hours can include evenings and weekends. Conference travel may be required.
