Manufacturing Engineering: The primary purpose of Manufacturing is to develop, implement and operate our manufacturing facilities or support our external suppliersto deliver customer specified products throughout the product lifecycle of manufacturing, assembly, disassembly, and repair that embody safety, quality, cost, and delivery, ensuring compliance to the design intent. Within all our manufacturing businesses of aerospace and marine, we focus on four core areas to help us deliver a capable and reliable method of production within manufacturing technology, a clear and effective strategy to product introduction into our manufacturing, assembly and repair processes, a defined method to meet technical governance and change management to preserve integrity of the customer and business requirements, and a high performing aptitude for driving continuous improvement and manufacturability throughout our supply chain process. Morethan 18,000 people work in manufacturing worldwide making it the largest function within Rolls-Royce. What you'll do: On this 12-week program as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you'll gain practical experience on real-life assignments within one of our core areas that will put your theoretical knowledge to the test. Along the way, you'll work alongside some true experts and be taught valuable skills. As an intern, you'll be assigned a manufacturing engineer as your line manager and career coach, so you'll be learning directly from a skilled professional. And all the projects you do will be in support of a real business need, with a direct link to our products and customers. It makes for a fantastic opportunity to share your ideas and really make a difference. Not only will you receive on-the-job training, but you'll also develop a host of transferable skills. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, and you'll receive support from different people within the business, all of whom will be committed to helping you to deliver your best.
