Overview

The Sr Sales Executive will sell the Myriad portfolio of molecular genetic tests to healthcare providers in their assigned territory. Additionally, they will provide education on Myriad's science, research, and precision medicine. Myriad tests can be used to guide personalized medical management decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibility



  • Sell physicians on the value of different molecular diagnostic tests and interpretation.
  • Grow weekly order volumes by teaching, tailoring, and taking control of customer conversations in community, large group, and academic practice settings.
  • Offer unique perspectives to customers, drive two-way communication with targeted physicians, learn and understand practice value and economic drivers, and influence customers to adopt a different approach to risk assessment and treatment.
  • Provide in-service training to office staff as needed.
  • Work with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition.
  • Deliver local talks and arrange peer-to-peer programs for groups that want to learn more.
  • Coordinate with local health plans that are most relevant to these practices.
  • Meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
  • Utilize territory planning tools for strategy and planning, including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • Update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
  • Attend regional meetings and conferences as planned.


Qualifications



  • BS/BA degree and a minimum of 8 years sales experience, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related healthcare services.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the therapeutic area is required.
  • Able to work independently with a strong work ethic.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of scientific/medical knowledge.
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information.
  • Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
  • Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales.
  • Uses discretion and professionalism in handling patient and physician information and documentation.
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy.
  • Travel up to 70% of the time with some overnight travel - up to 2-3 nights monthly.


Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical Requirements - stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
