As an Electronic Assembler and Hand Soldering Operator, you will play a crucial role in assembling and soldering electronic components for high-stakes aerospace and defense applications. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.


Responsibilities

- Perform hand soldering operations under a microscope to meet Mil-Specs, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements and/or company standards at all stages of assembly.

- Assemble electronic components, such as wire harnesses, cable assemblies, resistors, capacitors, and other hardware, using prints, routing instructions, and detailed work instructions.

- Terminate, crimp, and install wires, ensuring proper conductor preparation and tooling setup.

- Inspect and verify soldered joints, assemblies, and wire terminations to ensure conformance to quality requirements; perform rework as necessary.

- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures and maintain organization and cleanliness of workbench and manufacturing areas.

- Utilize hand tools such as cutters, pliers, forming tools, and screwdrivers to perform precise assembly operations.

- Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and scales to verify components meet dimensional requirements.

- Accurately document work progress and ensure traceability by recording process steps and any deviations.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required to support production and quality goals.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience working as an electronic assembler.
  • Experience using microscope and small hand tools such as tweezers
  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions from process sheets, blueprints, routing cards, and technical drawings, including ECOs, parts lists, and PRNs.
  • Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., cutters, pliers, forming tools) and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • Ability to identify, form, and mount electronic components.
  • Experience with wire prep, crimping, and setting up tools for conductors.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of soldering experience with J-STD-001 certification.
  • Familiarity with ESD procedures and maintaining clean, organized work areas.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and email communication.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments.

Hourly Range: $21.26 - $26.26 hourly (Lansdale, PA)

Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
