About Cognizant's Digital Engineering Practice:

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Small, nimble engineering teams generate collective empathy and comradery, thus increasing their ability to anticipate unforeseen development scope changes and maintain high quality deliverables. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior UI Architect to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architect team, business team, product owner and project team to design solutions and develop micro-frontend architecture for overall application
  • Understands target state architecture and various components that cater to business capabilities
  • Responsible for leading a 10 member team at onsite / offshore
  • Responsible for Sprint and product deliverables.
  • Develop and deploy target state components as per business requirements.
  • Adheres to procedures and guidelines set forth.
  • Assists team with the tech stack challenges and mitigate impediments.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
  • Compiling status reports and participate in all Scrum ceremonies.
  • Prepare documentation, code Reviews & incorporate feedback on time.
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.

Required Skill:

* Equipped with minimum 12+ years of industry experience in front-end development and 8+ years experience as an UI Architect

* Strong experience in Angular 16

* Able to understand key UX principles and a strong eye for design

* Experienced in Web Application development using advanced HTML designing and Java scripting using HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, and Typescript

* Experienced with CSS in JS libraries such as styled-components, emotion, or JSS

* Experience with Angular Design Best Practices, Tools and libraries.

* Experienced with jest and react-testing-library (or similar)

* Experienced with responsive design and accessibility standards

* Assess accessibility compliance, ensuring that the front-end implementation follows web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for users with disabilities.

* Conduct security assessments on the front-end codebase, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities like Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF)

* Monitor the performance of the vendor's front-end implementation, making necessary adjustments to improve page load times and overall user experience.

* Happy to work independently as well as with experienced team to develop products
