FLSA STATUS: Salaried - Overtime Ineligible- Temporary (March through June)

LOCATION: Charter School (Either campus)

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for diagnosis, identification, evaluation, and remediation of speech and language skills as related to educational factors of pupils with oral, language, voice, fluency, and auditory acuity disorders.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Legend: E = Essential NE = Non-Essential N/A = Not Applicable

  1. Determine student eligibility for speech and language services (administer academic testing, etc.). E
  2. Create and implement the IEP based on student needs. E
  3. Provide services to students per the IEP. E
  4. Assess progress of students towards IEP goals. E
  5. Facilitate meetings with applicable stakeholders throughout the IEP process. E
  6. Prepare, complete, distribute, and/or submit required items by due dates. E
  7. Attend meetings and professional development activities, as requested. E
  8. Establish and maintain good communication, collaboration, and cooperation with all students, parents, and staff. E
  9. Follow all duties of a mandated reporter. E
  10. Perform other related duties, as assigned. E
  11. Be a team player. E

REPORTS TO: Administrator/Coordinator

Requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is generally performed in office setting and may include some local travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's Degree in Speech and Language or closely related field from an accredited college/university.
  2. Valid WI DPI Certification in Speech and Language Pathology (#820).
  3. Bilingual (Spanish and English).
  4. Neat orderly person with great organizational skills.
  5. Must be a "People Person" with a great disposition and outlook on life, who enjoys working with others, is upbeat and pleasant to work with and is a good listener.
  6. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours as needed.
  8. Excellent communication and documentation skills, written and verbal
  9. Must pass all background checks.
