The compensation for this position is $17.00 an hour plus a paid for apartment during employment.

Part-time; 15-20 hours a week on average.

Your New Role:

The On-Site Residential Advisor for New Meadows serves as a positive role model to community partners and youth ages 18 to 24 who are transitioning out of foster care. The RA resides on-site in a New Avenues provided apartment during their period of employment as the On-Site Residential Advisor. The RA monitors compliance with community expectations and reports violations to the Housing Navigation Supervisor for follow up. This person also provides additional related assistance to residents as needed along with performing light cleaning and space upkeep tasks. The person in this role provides on-site posted general availability hours for residents, not to exceed 10 hours per week, as determined with the program manager. In addition, the RA is required to respond to emergency property-related matters within 2-hours when on-call, typically being on-site at New Meadows as part of the response. Provided that the core responsibilities are being met, the RA's schedule provides flexibility to pursue other interests including additional part-time work or educational opportunities.

Skills & Attributes:

* Ability to effectively communicate with youth both verbally and in writing

* Strong computer competency, including proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Capacity to work collaboratively with diverse staff and youth and to thrive in a multi-cultural environment

* Deep understanding of, and respect for, cultural and human diversity and intersectionality

Knowledge of trauma and its effects, particularly as it relates to individuals experiencing
* Skills and ability to perform light maintenance tasks on the property

* Must be willing to be CPR trained and certified

* Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

* Ability to effectively balance administrative tasks, after hours response, and resident support

* Organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and updated schedules

* Crisis response skills, including the ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies

* Professional demeanor and reliability, serving as a role model for program participants
