Due to continued growth, KARL STORZ U.S. has an opening for a2nd shift Supervisor in its Fiber Imaging Departmentin its Charlton, MA facility.

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring schedule adherence, managing employee relations, driving cost-reduction efforts, and coordinating with engineering teams. The role also includes enforcing safety standards, quality systems (GMP, ISO13485), and supporting new product or process introductions.

Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday

What you'll be doing:

  • SupervisingImage Bundle Covering and Processing assemblers, ensuring productivity, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Maintaining accurate floor documentation and production records.
  • EnforcingGMP, ISO13485, and company quality practices.
  • Coordinatingengineering support to resolve production issues.
  • Managingscheduling and adjust work plans as necessary.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in product quality, yields, and productivity.
  • Ensuringa safe and compliant working environment in accordance with environmental and safety standards.
  • Leading and facilitatingtraining for assembly team members, including GMP, ISO13485, and other relevant topics.

What you'll need to be considered for this role:

  • Experience in manufacturing in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, particularly SAP.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, product flow, and associated paperwork.
  • Familiarity with GMP and experience in medical product manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good manual dexterity for handling and inspecting Image Bundle subassemblies.
  • Must be able to drive on company business as needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and make decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Must adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
