Production Extrusion Operator - $18.50+/Hr, + Full Benefits Package; Manufacturing

The Production Extrusion Operator will safely and efficiently operate manufacturing equipment to meet expected production rates for our Life Sciences business in Poestenkill, NY.

Reporting to the Production Manager the Extrusion Operator will work closely with QC inspectors while running jobs by communicating changes or issues regarding product and process quality. You will also work with closely with the Maintenance team and Production Leads to ensure consistent and efficient operation of equipment to meet daily safety, quality, and production goals.

Key dutiesResponsibilities include:

• Safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment by accurately following documented procedures while meeting all product specifications. keeping the area clean and up to 5S standards
• Effectively communicate problems to QC and other technical resources to ensure quality parts are made.
• Follow good documentation practices including filling out forms for product quality and traceability.
• Recording keeping to manage part production, real time labor, job tracking and machine monitoring.

The Life Sciences Poestenkill, NY location manufactures closure and packaging systems for use in demanding Medical, Pharmaceutical and Environmental markets.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Qualifications and Physical Demands:

• Strong team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic Math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Manufacturing experience a plus.
• Ability to push, pull and lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push and pull objects (weighing up to 40 lbs.)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $18.50 to $25.00 per hour, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.

Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
