The School of Information Technology (SoIT) is a national leader in studying solutions and needs that connectpeople, information, and the technology of the time. The SoIT is home to Ohio's first Master of Science, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Information Technology. In addition, it is home to Ohio's first ABET accredited Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity. The SoIT has been growing at 18% annually and currently serves over 2,000 students with 35 full-time faculty members, 35 full-time staff, and 30 adjunct faculty. The SoIT is home to several centers including an NSA/DHS Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense, the Information Technology Solutions Center, the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, Applied Machine Learning and Intelligence Center, and the Civic Technology Lab, and the newly formed Information Technology Analytics Center. The SoIT is a diverse, interdisciplinary, team-oriented, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. The School of Information Technology (SoIT) at the University of Cincinnati is rapidly growing its faculty in cybersecurity, cloud computing, software application development, human computer interaction, and applied data science. SoIT seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to start in August 2025 advancing research in the practical, applied, and technical dimensions of securing systems and information, championingtechnological innovation, as well as engaging in new evidence-based approaches in IT industry with interdisciplinary collaborations. An Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati is expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and service activities. This position will supportthe University of Cincinnati's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all of our activities. Minimum Requirements
Must have obtained a Doctorate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited college or university of recognized standing in a field appropriate to the requirements of the position. For positions within Performing and Studio Arts or Nursing, an appropriate Master's degree may replace the Doctoral requirement. Required Education
