We are implementing the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency and scalability across our network. We are seeking a skilled and proactive WMS Super User to lead and support the adoption, optimization, and ongoing use of Blue Yonder WMS.

Position Summary

The WMS Super User will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Blue Yonder WMS, ensuring its effective implementation and operation within our Brea, California distribution center. This role will provide critical support during the rollout phase and act as the key liaison between the operations team, IT, and external Blue Yonder consultants post-implementation. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, a strong technical aptitude for WMS systems, and experience in change management.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation and Rollout Support

  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful Blue Yonder WMS implementation across the network.
  • Participate in system configuration, testing, and validation activities, providing feedback on system functionality.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in identifying and resolving issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including workflows, user guides, and training materials.

System Expertise and Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Blue Yonder WMS-related inquiries and issues within the distribution centers.
  • Provide hands-on support for end-users, troubleshooting system issues and escalating to IT or Blue Yonder support when necessary.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend optimizations to enhance operational efficiency.

Training and Change Management

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for warehouse staff and management on Blue Yonder WMS.
  • Act as a change champion, driving adoption and helping staff transition to the new system.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on WMS-related initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational data and workflows to identify opportunities for leveraging Blue Yonder WMS features more effectively.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Stay up to date with Blue Yonder WMS updates, new features, and best practices to keep the system optimized.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in an electrical distribution environment.
  • Prior experience as a WMS super user, trainer, or analyst, with knowledge of Blue Yonder WMS being a significant advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Blue Yonder WMS configuration, reporting, and functionality.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and system integrations is a plus.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proven ability to lead training sessions and foster user adoption.
