Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra seeks a Learning and Development Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Learning and Development (L&D) Manager leads internal learning within decentralized learning model, with accountability for the Learning Management System (LMS) and its accompanying modules. In this role, the ideal candidate must have experience with the Cornerstone product suite, including the LMS and Ed Cast LXP. Further experience with the succession module and Talent Marketplace is highly preferred. In addition to designing and implementing a learning technology strategy that enables role-specific learning while meeting accreditation agency standards, this role will act as a strategic business partner, collaborating with Employee Experience and other HR teams, as well as business leaders to successfully implement L&D initiatives that ensure employee growth and satisfaction, and that enhance workforce capabilities and adaptability. Reporting directly to the Director of Culture and Development, this position will support educational opportunities throughout the employee lifecycle, focusing strategic efforts to enhance employee engagement. Further, this role will lead the governance and alignment of independent learning teams, which serve both internal employees and external clients, as well as oversee compliance with accreditation standards, managing audits and ensuring our learning programs maintain the highest levels of quality and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR, business leaders, and learning teams to align internal learning initiatives with organizational OKRs, strategy and goals.
  • Partner in the development and execution of an innovative employee engagement and development strategies that encompass all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to development, engagement and well-being, and retention.
  • Lead a team of learning experts (e.g., instructional designers, learning & development consultants, learning system business partner(s), etc.).
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of internal learning and development programs (e.g., competency education, leadership development, compliance, etc.) to ensure they meet business needs and maintain quality.
  • Lead the effective implementation of additional Cornerstone products (Ed Cast LXP, Talent Marketplace, Succession, etc.), meeting stakeholder needs and business objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of robust career development frameworks and learning pathways with the Cornerstone product suite that support employees in achieving their professional and role-specific goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across decentralized learning teams to foster collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Monitor internal learning and compliance programs to ensure consistency in content, delivery methods, and outcomes across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish metrics and reporting structures to evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives and decentralized team operations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Utilize Cornerstone LMS and LXP products, and/or AI to customize learning paths by role, etc. to best meet the needs of the organization in alignment with accreditation needs.
  • Act as a liaison between internal learning teams and external client-facing groups to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of training solutions.
  • Establish and lead a governance framework for decentralized learning teams, ensuring alignment with company standards, branding, and strategy.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and communications among independent learning teams to promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and alignment.
  • Develop and maintain educational and professional development policies and best practices for decentralized learning, including program design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Prepare for and manage audits from accrediting agencies, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide required documentation and evidence.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all accreditation requirements and certifications across learning programs.
  • Partner with IT and external learning teams to ensure the effective use of learning technologies and platforms.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on key initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
  • Partner with HR Technology and Talent Acquisition teams to enhance employee experience within Cornerstone LMS, Ed Cast LXP, and Talent Marketplace.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in learning and development, focused on employee training, with at least 5 years in a health care technology organization with 3,000 or more employees.
  • 6+ years of experience with Cornerstone Learning Management System, including implementation and administration.
  • 4+ years of instructional design and content curation experience for complex organization of over 3,000 employees.
  • Experience designing a governance model for decentralized learning, meeting stakeholder needs and driving organizational learning standardization.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and presentation skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and demonstrate the impact of learning initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills, capable of gathering stakeholder needs and executing a strategy to meet them.
  • Experience with HR technology solutions and platforms that support employee engagement and feedback.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience leading learning and development in a decentralized model, collaborating with multiple stakeholders with various training needs (e.g., technology, compliance, customer care, etc.), and establishing a governance structure that enabled strategy execution.
  • Experience with Cornerstone's Ed Cast LXP and Talent Marketplace modules, including building a skills ontology and career architecture.
  • Relevant certifications in instructional design, organizational development, leadership, or related areas.
  • Technical background with implementation experience with LMS, HRIS, and TA platforms.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.

Pay Range

Up to USD $123,000.00/Yr.
