We are seeking a Senior Manager of Web Presence with a strong foundation in full-stack development to lead the strategy, development, and reliability of our digital platforms. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with hands-on expertise in modern web technologies, cloud solutions, and content management systems (CMS) who prioritizes security, stability, and performance. You will leverage your technical skills and leadership to ensure our web presence operates efficiently and securely while aligning with business objectives and minimizing risks.

As a technical leader, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of web platforms, guiding their migration to AWS with a focus on reliability and scalability. You'll ensure seamless integration of CMS platforms like WordPress and ContentFul, champion best practices in secure full-stack development, and drive unified solutions for automation, deployment, and monitoring. Your role will emphasize risk reduction by implementing robust security measures, proactively mitigating threats, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You'll also optimize website performance to guarantee fast load times, responsiveness across devices, and stability during peak traffic. Collaboration and leadership are key as you manage a team of web professionals, fostering a culture of excellence while aligning efforts with business objectives. You'll work with cross-functional teams and set clear KPIs to track performance, risks, and system health. Strategically, you'll define a unified vision for the company's web presence, staying ahead of trends to future-proof systems. By prioritizing risk management and operational efficiency, you'll ensure the long-term success of all web initiatives.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years experience as a full-stack developer, with hands-on experience in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java)
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles managing web development and operations teams
  • Skilled at mentoring and developing team members while fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation
  • Adept at aligning team strengths with project requirements to optimize performance and create growth opportunities
  • Extensive experience managing external-facing web properties with a focus on user experience, operational excellence, and reliability
  • Demonstrated ability to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and deliver secure, stable platforms


This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule

The pay range is $164,300 - $222,300.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
