Opportunity Description: The Metabolism Unit (MetU), a clinical research unit at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), is seeking highly motivated college graduates to apply for a position as a Clinical Research Coordinator.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will have the opportunity to support a landmark global clinical trial, REPRIEVE, on cardiometabolic complications of aging with HIV in the following ways:
* Coordinating and participating in the development of scientific manuscripts and data analyses
* Supporting the dissemination of research results in the community and among clinicians
* Facilitating the proposal of new research projects and the participation of research collaborators
* Scheduling and developing agendas and meeting minutes and leading meetings/calls as needed
* Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), study documentation, and progress trackers
* Participating in processes that ensure compliance with the rules of regulatory bodies and funding agencies.
Through this role, there will be opportunities to collaborate with a team of Physician-Scientists, Nurse-Scientists, Biostatisticians, and Clinical Research Coordinators on work that has far-reaching clinical implications. Motivated candidates may also take on additional special projects involving data analysis, literature review, and preparation of manuscripts for submission/publications.
This position is ideal for a diligent new graduate who is looking to gain significant clinical research experience before enrolling in graduate school. The MetU will support the Clinical Research Coordinator's growth and professional development through provision of opportunities to strengthen research and presentation skills, dedicated career mentorship, and graduate school advising.
Desired qualifications include:
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with members of the research team and the community
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects, and prioritize competing demands
* Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* Initiative and motivation to work hard
* Thoughtful and creative problem-solving skills
* Experience with common computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, reference management software
A background in statistics/research is desirable but not required.
This is a paid position. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work 40 hours per week. likely expected to start winter /spring 2025.
