AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN-On-Site 5 Days Per Week

JOB SUMMARY

Assist Automation Supervisor with maintaining and improving automated systems and processes at the Allentown, NJ manufacturing plant, as well as all Allentown LLC subsidiaries.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

1. Analyzing current manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality through the implementation of automation (where applicable)

2. Assist with diagnosing breakdowns and improvements with existing automation cells

3. Collaborate with Engineering, Commercial, and other critical functions on the development of automation related innovations and commercial offerings.

4. Follow all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures.

5. Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels.

6. Adheres to standardized work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

7. Keeps work areas clean and organized while taking care of all equipment and facilities.

8. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum 1-3 years' experience with machinery and equipment.

2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and standard operating procedures.

3. Ability to use basic hand tools, including various measuring tools such as calipers, squares, protractor and measuring tapes.

4. Basic computer and math skills

5. Computer programming experience preferred.

6. Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production environment under tight time constraints managing multiple priorities.

7. Must possess an understanding of production procedures.

8. Must adhere to health and safety regulations (consistent use of P.P.E)

9. High level of attention to detail

10. Must have excellent time management skills and work ethic.

11. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written.

12. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
