Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin. BETTER TOGETHER

MUST BE A RESIDENT IN THE STATE OF WISCONSIN OR WILLING TO RELOCATE. Position will have on-site requirements with the ability to work remotely. Applicants must be willing to commute to Madison as needed.

We are looking for a resourceful, passionate senior developer to build and implement functional programs. You will work with an agile development team and an array of business owners throughout the organization.

You would be responsible for gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, and building applications with C#,.NET, as well as web technologies such as Angular and web services. On the backend, you would be working with SQL, data profiling, and large datasets.

In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and strong instincts for problem-solving, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. You should also be willing to independently research technology outside of your current skill set and comfort zone. Knowing the answer is great, being able to find the answer is better.

As a senior, you would work with the development team in defining and following standards, standard work, and best practices. You would help to mentor development technologies, provide code review, and work with leadership to define training plans.

Responsibilities


  • Provide analysis and design of technical solutions for operational challenges
  • Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code based on specifications
  • Build and maintain technical and user documentation
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and update existing systems
  • Recommend and execute improvements
  • Support your team

Requirements


  • Proficient in C# and TypeScript
  • Familiarity with modern web technologies, including HTML, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, specifically MS SQL, and the ability to work with large, complex data sets
  • Proficiency with object-relational models such as Entity Framework, Dapper, or other ORM's
  • Experience with source code management using Git, as well as continuous integration and deployment using technologies such as Azure DevOps
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies

Desired


  • Experience developing web applications using popular web frameworks such as Angular or React
  • Experience in the Health Care or Health Insurance industry
  • Experience with end-to-end, integration, and unit testing frameworks
  • Sense of humor
