We are looking for a Business Development Manager Research Services in USA. Your mission will be to:
The
Business Development Manager Research Services is responsible for growing and
maintaining business for Research Services.
Essential Functions
* Respond to sales leads from various sources, including via direct sales outreach, promptly and fully qualify for potential. This includes uncovering the contact's need, reason for the need, and other business relevant details which will increase the chances to win research projects.
* In working with potential leads, uncover information such as budget range, decision making process, desired start or completion date or other key variables during the proposal process.
* Present capabilities and technical qualification details and/or bring in technical experts as needed, in order to prepare the potential client for the technical proposal phase.
* Manage the proposal process by writing proposals and working collaboratively with technical experts on joint proposals. Ensure proposals are delivered within the agreed upon time frame of the client.
* Work with selected focus accounts on a more routine basis through periodic conference calls and possibly in-person meetings.
* Utilize Customer Resource Management (CRM) tool and other corporate sales processes to track contacts, proposals and follow-up activities according to company policy.
* Collaborates with the sales team to conduct sales prospecting calls.
* Conduct calls to existing clients in order to build and maintain good relationships. Participate on key account teams as needed and work with marketing to coordinate and manage special projects as requested.
* Support corporate quality and continuous improvement.
* Other related duties as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE
Qualifications Required
* Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry is helpful. Sales or Customer Service experience a plus.
* This role requires a strong foundation in food testing, typically acquired through a degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or Chemistry, to fully understand the complexities of the services offered by the company. A solid grasp of sales techniques is valuable for effectively presenting information to potential clients. Experience in food safety, food processing, or food quality assurance is recommended to better identify with the concerns and challenges faced by clients and prospects. Proficiency with computers and Microsoft software is essential for performing duties efficiently, and strong organizational skills are critical for managing assigned tasks effectively.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for promoting company services and programs, understanding and addressing client needs, and building professional relationships. A working knowledge of Microsoft programs is necessary to deliver important information to company leaders and clients in various formats.
* The position employs effective tactics to gather additional information about client needs, products, and services. Limited pricing decisions, within the parameters of a predefined matrix, may also be required. The individual collaborates with their supervisor to determine the best approach for achieving daily work goals. Decisions made in this role can significantly impact departmental strategic objectives, personnel goals, and client satisfaction.

Target Base Compensation Range:
$70,000 - $105,000
Eligible for Sales Bonus
