Business Analyst - Factory Built & International

UFP Factory Built, renowned for their expertise, are industry leaders in manufacturing prefabricated Manufactured Housing, RVs, and Cargo products.Our team is currently hiring for a Factory Built & International Business Analyst to work out of our Grand Rapids, MI location. The Factory Built & International Business Analyst will be responsible for working with complex data sets to help the Factory Built & International business units use data to make more informed business decisions and drive results to meet the business units' long term strategic goals. This role will look at all parts of the business units, including operations, sales, procurement, etc. to find trends and opportunities for improvement. This is an analytical role that requires analyzing data from a number of different sources and translating that data for key stakeholders. The Factory Built & International Business Analyst must also have a strong understanding of general business principles. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust business KPIs as needed across all functions of the business
  • Ability to work across multiple business functions and present findings in concise, unbiased way
  • Ability to track projects with milestones for completion, feeding relevant information to the appropriate stakeholders during the process
  • Work with other members of data team to help develop specific datasets and data science projects to meet the business unit's needs
  • Utilize pricing analysis and strategies to forecast revenues, market shares and trends
  • Attend business unit meetings as needed to provide insight, feedback, and guidance to key members of the business unit
  • Proactively monitor industry trends within the industry as a whole
  • Analyze how larger macro-economic factors may or may not affect the business unit as a whole
  • Present key findings to end-users visually, verbally and in written formats
Qualifications Knowledge
  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related field
  • Expert user of MS Excel
  • Preferred experience and knowledge of the building materials industry
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Preferred experience with SQL
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Components including PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
Skills and abilities
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability to successfully interact and communicate with all organizational levels and the public, including leading large-scale presentations to audiences with varying technical skills
  • Ability to learn new computer software applications quickly
  • Logical, process-oriented nature
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone and email with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement in business processes
  • Must work out of one of the Company's locations or the Company's corporate office
