Salary: $135,000-$145,000

Description:

The Software Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain software applications and tools within the Iron Bank (IB) DevSecOps ecosystem, ensuring compliance with DoD standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design containerized applications, enhance security, and deploy solutions using modern development practices and tools. The engineer will contribute to the delivery of innovative and secure software products in alignment with project objectives and DevSecOps principles.


    • 3+ years of experience with software development and containerized application design using Docker.
    • Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment models and service mesh concepts (e.g., Istio).
    • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Concourse, or Spinnaker.
    • Familiarity with container security tools like Twistlock, Aqua, or similar.
    • Experience with vulnerability assessment and resolution in containerized environments.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
      • Design, develop, test, and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
      • Collaborate with teams to deploy applications into Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and security.
      • Implement DevSecOps best practices, ensuring adherence to DoD compliance and cybersecurity standards.
      • Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Concourse, or Spinnaker.
      • Implement and maintain container security solutions using tools such as Twistlock or Aqua.
      • Perform CVE vulnerability testing and analysis for container workloads, addressing security concerns proactively.
      • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software implementations, including processes and solutions.
      • Provide progress updates to stakeholders, detailing performance, challenges, and results.
      • Work closely with Product Managers, System Engineers, and other stakeholders to align software engineering efforts with project objectives.
      • Support troubleshooting and escalations for technical issues related to software applications and containerized environments.
      • Operate with latitude to identify innovative solutions to technical challenges.
      • Contribute to major deliverables, offering insights to improve application performance and security.
