Position Summary: Join our exciting & dedicated team at EES (Vallen) as a Shift Inventory Technician. In this position, you will perform physical cycle counts and inventory audits, reconcile counts and recounts, and ensure inventory is secured, properly identified and readily accessible. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Using the computerized maintenance system to track inventory. The technician is responsible for the maintaining the data accuracy within the system.
- Receiving material into the stores. This requires the manual handling of boxes and packages. Lifting and carrying is a function of this process. All technicians must have received manual handing training. Parts will be stored on shelving units and/or automated carousals. The technician will physically carry the parts to these locations.
- The moving of some of heavier parts will require the use of a Pallet truck, the technician will pull this truck manually.
- Parts will need to be packaged and sent to the warehousing department to be dispatched to suppliers. This requires the technician to source suitable packaging. Package the goods and bring the goods to the warehouse. This can involve carrying, the use of a trolley or the use of a pallet truck.
- Parts may be stored at high level on the shelving. This may involve the technician using mobile platforms to install / remove parts from these shelves. There is an element of reach and stretch in this activity.
- The technician will carry out cycle counting activities which requires the handing and physical count of each part in the stores.
- On occasion the Technician will be required to travel to the equipment on site, in order to identify parts or to escort subject matter experts to view the equipment.
- Parts can be left at security for collection and the Technician will collect these parts from security.
- The technician will deliver the day to day operations of the stores
- The technician will deliver the agreed metrics to support the benchmarking of the site
- The technician will carry out customer/site specific requested in line with the contractual agreement
- Other ad hoc duties in line with the role
Job Qualifications:
- Strong operating knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP's and their application to the Central Inventory function Systems Knowledge, SAP, Ariba, Maximo essential
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines
- Fully Computer Literate with Good Attention to Detail - knowledge of MS software packages (Excel, Word) would be an advantage
- Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
- Fluency in English an essential
- Adaptable, flexible and confident approach with a can-do attitude and an ability and willingness to learn.

- May be required to drive a forklift and/or operate other standard warehouse equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications (written and/or driving).
- Must be able to handle and work physical inventory; required to lift up to 25 lbs. or greater with assistance following standard operating and safety procedures. Other physical requirements including, regularly being required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance.
