We seek a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Consultant to join our healthcare team. As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in implementing the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) Model, which integrates mental health services into primary care settings. Your expertise in behavioral health will support the holistic care of patients, addressing both physical and psychological well-being. You will collaborate closely with primary care providers and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care.

Compensation:

  • Salary range $79,357-$116,951. Depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • Degree and license in Social Work (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Ph.D./PsyD in Psychology.
  • Current Wisconsin licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common mental health conditions across the lifespan.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and familiarity with brief, solution-focused therapy models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Empathy, compassion, and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proficient computer skills, including electronic health record systems.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced primary care environment.


Preferences:

  • The ideal candidate is also bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish.
  • Experience working in a primary care or integrated care setting is highly desirable.

Since 1969, Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers (SSCHC) has provided high-quality healthcare, health education, and social services for residents of the multicultural neighborhoods on Milwaukee's South Side; free from linguistic, cultural, and economic barriers.

SSCHC's comprehensive health services include adult and pediatric medicine, behavioral health services, social services, women's health, HIV prevention and treatment, and an array of other supplemental programs.
