Dual-Boarded Oral and Plastic Surgeon w/ Orthognathic experience
Position Summary: The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Children's National Hospital is seeking a full-time dual-boarded oral surgeon and plastic surgeon or a surgeon with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in orthognathic surgery. In addition to providing expert patient care, the division places a high priority on the training and development of medical trainees and on improving care through research. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical credentials, a collaborative approach to patient care, and a commitment to teaching. Children's National Hospital, a free-standing, children's academic hospital in Washington, DC, is ranked one of the top 10 pediatric hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Additionally, Children's National is tied for #1 in the Mid-Atlantic region and achieved top 10 honors for seven hospital divisions. We are a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center and hold Level 1 Pediatric Surgery Verification from the American College of Surgeons. The Board Certified/Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will provide expert surgical care for pediatric patients in both hospital and clinic settings. In addition to clinical duties, the surgeon will participate in research to advance surgical techniques and improve patient outcomes. The role also involves educating medical students, residents, and fellows, while supporting the academic development of the division. Qualifications
