Description

As an Energy Fellow, you will assist engineers with energy evaluations, conceptual design and implementation of strategic energy efficiency and decarbonization solutions for various sites and building systems. This position supports a variety of programs and tasks within our engineering department. Energy Fellows will assemble data through site visits, manufacturer's information, plans and specifications, and publicly available statistics to calculate potential energy impacts from implementing various energy recommendations and strategies identified by engineers. Fellows will produce energy impact calculations using documented engineering methods and principles and prepare and quality control written reports which show and describe all calculations used for determining modeled results.

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software and database software
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Exceptional attentiveness to detail, with ability to learn and understand technical terms
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively with high volumes, meet short deadlines, take direction and perform duties with limited direction and guidance
  • Ability to practice discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Strict adherence to RISE safety processes and procedures


Preferred Education and Experience:



  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • General understanding of building systems and equipment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint or other web application platforms

    • Computer input and typing
    • Answering the phone
    • Sedentary work
    • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.


  • Occasional:

    • Lifting over 20 pounds
