Position Title: Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) with Instruction

Location: Maxwell AFB, Alabama

Position Description:

C Technologies, Inc. seeks a highly skilled and motivated Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) to support course development and instruction at Maxwell AFB. The ISD will perform all elements of the Air Force Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process, including instructional design, curriculum development, and podium instruction. This position requires expertise in negotiation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and conflict management/transformation.

The selected candidate will deliver innovative, SCORM-compliant learning solutions, develop and maintain materials for online and in-person courses, and contribute to the preparation and training of faculty. This role includes integrating new technologies to enhance process effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring compliance with Government requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Design and Development:



  • Conduct all research, coordination, and development necessary to produce complete courses within designated timeframes.
  • Develop course materials for student use, instructor delivery, and faculty preparation, including train-the-trainer programs if assigned.
  • Create testing programs to gather initial feedback on course effectiveness prior to fielding final products.


Online Course Delivery:



  • Produce SCORM-compliant course materials for delivery via disk, web, and cloud, ensuring functionality across Government and privately owned desktop and mobile devices.
  • Successfully format and load course materials onto the appropriate Air University (AU) Learning Management System (LMS) and AFNC internal record-keeping systems.


Program Management and Process Improvement:



  • Create work breakdown structures and project plans.
  • Provide recommendations for integrating new technologies to improve instructional processes.
  • Meet regularly with Government representatives to provide status updates, coordinate timelines, and address contract-related issues.


Instruction and Faculty Support:



  • Deliver podium instruction for negotiation, ADR, and conflict transformation courses, including courses developed by the ISD or others.
  • Prepare for and conduct onsite and offsite instruction for AFNC audiences, with occasional temporary duty travel (TDY) of approximately 10 days per year.


Deliverables:



  • Develop a variety of instructional products as required, including:

    • Teaching Plans (TP)
    • Instructional Design Documents (IDD)
    • Lesson Plans (LP)
    • Complete Course Documents (CD)
    • Faculty Development Documents (FAC-D)
    • Qualitative Impact Reports (QIR)
    • Assessment Reports (AR)




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and classroom instruction.
  • Proficiency in SCORM compliance standards and LMS integration.
  • Expertise in negotiation, ADR, and conflict management/transformation.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on innovation and process improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
