Job Title: Oracle Data Architect with Power BI - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Architect with 10 to 13 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure and Oracle Cloud data engineering experience and related technologies. This role involves designing developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions to drive data-driven decision-making. The work model is hybrid with no travel required.

Responsibilities:
  • Functional experience working with business to understand requirements translate into technical requirements
  • BI data model design and development (Microsoft azure and Oracle Cloud)
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Azure Pipelines
  • Work with Developers to provide technical specifications.
  • Support Power BI developers to design and build dashboards.
  • Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Power BI to meet interpersonal needs.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of Power BI Report Builder ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Provide administration and support for MS Power BI Admin ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Lead and maintain Power BI Report Server ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Apply Power BI Service to build and share interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Develop and implement data models using Power BI to support business analysis and reporting.
  • Use Mash Up Language in Power BI to transform and combine data from various sources.
  • Apply DAX in Power BI to create calculations and measures for data analysis.
  • Integrate Azure Analysis Services with Power BI for sophisticated data modeling and analytics.
  • Ensure the effective use of MS Power BI to deliver actionable insights and drive business decisions.
  • Perform database and SQL tasks to support data extraction transformation and loading processes.
  • Collaborate with collaborators to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Deliver training and support to end-users to improve their utilization of Power BI tools and features.
  • Supervise and optimize the performance of Power BI solutions to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
  • Possess a good background in Power BI Report Builder, MS Power BI Admin, and Power BI Report Server.
  • Show strength in Power BI Service data modeling and Mash Up Language.
  • Have extensive experience with DAX or equivalent experience in Azure Analysis Services.
  • Display proven ability in MS Power BI database management and SQL.
  • Show superb interpersonal skills in English both written and spoken.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering high-quality business intelligence solutions.
  • Be able to work optimally in a hybrid work model with minimal direction.
  • Display strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a dedication to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and standard methodologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work closely with multi-functional teams.
  • Show a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business intelligence needs.
  • Be capable of handling multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exhibit a customer-focused approach and a commitment to delivering value to the organization.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this role is between $81,848 to $156,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This job is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
