SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently unload, load and transfer bulk raw or finished materials for use in chemical manufacturing. This is a full-time, rotating days and night 12 hours shift position. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Read, understand, and follow all necessary operating procedures. 2. Ability to read and understand all documentation related to incoming and outgoing materials. 3 Operate and troubleshoot associated equipment. 4. Coordinate with Operations to move/position railcars for unloading, loading, and/ or staging. 5. Can accurately log and retain data i.e. unloading paperwork, loading paperwork, etc. 6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. 7. Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals. 8. Identify and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for process area. 9. Understand and follow permit procedures i.e. confined space, hot work, and line break. 10. Ability to identify, communicate and mitigate if possible all unsafe behaviors, conditions and spills. 11. Inspect and operate track mobile 12. Comply to all environmental regulations Requirements REQUIREMENTS: 1. Demonstrated good stewardship skills (Environmental, Health, and Safety) 2. Basic math, physical ability to lift associated hoses/equipment 3. Strong written and oral communications skills 4. Ability to work flexible schedule and overtime, as needed 5. Ability to multi-task, must be a quick learner and adapt to change 6. High School Diploma or Equivalent | |
