Job Overview

The Senior, Media Sales is responsible for driving revenue by directly engaging with recognized brands, agencies, and vendor partners to secure advertising revenue and establish trust as a valued resource for clients. Employing a consultative approach, they cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers, comprehend their business challenges, and offer marketing solutions tailored to their needs. The Senior leads the planning, execution, and measurement of campaigns, managing all sales-related activities such as presentations, RFPs, and custom proposals. They collaborate with cross-functional teams including Media, Analytics, Product, and Finance as necessary. The primary objective is to maximize sales revenues, ensure client satisfaction, build a portfolio of key accounts, and consistently achieve sales targets. What You Will Do



  • Develop and manage key and assigned accounts while cultivating a strong pipeline of demand for Macy's advertising solutions among both existing and new clients.
  • Manage direct advertiser sales, encompassing negotiations and oversight of strategic partnerships.
  • Act as a consultant to comprehend client needs and propose advertising solutions that align with their requirements.
  • Create sales collateral, presentations, project plans, and training materials for both internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including media planning, operations, and analytics, to formulate and execute marketing strategies, both on-site and off-site.
  • Analyze campaign results to identify opportunities for enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Proactively listen to advertisers' needs and provide feedback to the product development team to drive continuous innovation and optimization of the Macy's Media Network offering.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.


Skills You Will Need

Sales and Account Management: Proven ability to develop and manage key and assigned accounts while building a robust pipeline of demand for advertising solutions among existing and new clients.

Negotiation Skills: Experience in managing direct advertiser sales, including negotiations and oversight of strategic partnerships.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to analyze campaign results and identify opportunities for enhancing client satisfaction.

Knowledge of Online Advertising: Deep understanding of the online advertising space, including exchange and audience-based selling, and the technologies that enable it. Experience in retail media is highly desired.

Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and solutions to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including vendors, marketing agencies, and media owners, to ensure projects are on track.

Detail-oriented: Attention to detail in developing sales collateral, presentations, reports, and project plans.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 5+ years of ad sales experience for on- and off-site media, including selling into agencies.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
