Position Summary |
The Senior Communications Coordinator drives the promotion of the Office for Student Success and Achievement's (
OSSA) vision, mission, and strategic goals through a comprehensive content strategy. This role designs digital and print media, manages the Presentation Collaboratory, coordinates outreach initiatives, plans employee engagement events, contributes to strategic planning, and supervises student staff to advance student success. This position reports to the Director of
OSSA. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Produce a broad range of high-quality content across various media (writing, speaking, presentations, graphic design, photography, video) and tailor it to accommodate changing technologies and audiences.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in marketing and content management systems, social media platforms, analytics tools, design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.), scheduling software, Microsoft Suite, and WordPress.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and positively to creatively and innovatively promote OSSA.
- Strong attention to detail, with demonstrated expertise in project management and meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and branding to advance OSSA's mission including OSSA, the Office of Instruction, Academic Advising, Undergraduate Admissions, Office of Inclusive Excellence, Student Affairs, Career Center, etc.
- Participate in UGA communication communities and attend meetings.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess effectiveness.
- Purchase promotional items.
- Train and supervise student staff supporting communications.
