Image Guided Surgery Equipment Technician

Summary: Responsible for guiding and assisting surgeons in the operating room by providing clinical and technical support of IGS cases.
Essential Functions:
Integrates health care for patients/clients across the continuum of care.
Collaborates with healthcare team and other professionals to coordinate and ensure timely sequencing of care.
Supports patients/clients and other family members by removing barriers of care.
Set up and calibrate imaging equipment in the operating room, ensuring optimal functionality and image quality during surgery.
Assist surgeons in real-time image interpretation and guidance during surgical procedures, providing accurate localization of targets and critical structures.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure seamless integration of imaging technology with surgical instruments and navigation systems.

Education: Associate's Degree Radiologic Technology required and Bachelor's Degree Radiologic Technology preferred

Experience: Surgical Services Experience 2-3 years required and Image Guided Surgery Experience 1-2 years preferred or In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience may be accepted 5-7 years preferred

Knowledge and in-depth understanding of computer technology, surgical navigation systems and endoscopy equipment.

Knowledge and understanding of the surgical navigation system and its use in surgery procedures.
