The Opportunity: We're seeking a talented individual with demonstrated lawyering skills to join Mattel's Legal & Business Affairs section of the Law Department. The position will primarily involve the drafting and negotiation of deals for Mattel's Independent Contractor and Agency practices. Depending on experience and business needs, opportunities may be available to provide deal support for influencer engagements, digital gaming, and technology transactions. This position is located at Mattel's headquarters in Los Angeles, with the expectation that work will be performed in the office at least four days per week. While the "soft skills" above are requirements for this position, our ideal candidate will also have relevant substantive experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a transactional attorney and rigorous law firm training and/or in-house experience, with targeted experience that includes: structuring, drafting, negotiating, and independently managing a range of IP-based transactions, such as: (a) independent contractor engagements for design, strategy, consulting, PR, and other services; (b) agency engagements for marketing, creative, and media; and (c) marketing and digital/traditional brand activations. The annual base salary range for this position is between $136,000 and $195,000.
