THE JOB: As a Senior Accountant, you'll take on a pivotal role in financial processes that drive our world-class entertainment and hospitality operations. Your expertise will ensure financial accuracy and transparency, allowing us to deliver exceptional experiences to millions of guests each year.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare entertainment and managed outlet settlements, process payments, and manage expense and reimbursement accruals-all with precision and timeliness. Maintain adherence to GAAP, MGM Resorts' internal policies, and regulatory requirements, including SOX and gaming regulations. Generate accurate financial reports and provide insights to support business strategies and operational improvements. Partner with departments across the organization to implement systems and processes that enhance efficiency and deliver measurable results. Mentor and guide accounting team members, fostering a culture of learning, excellence, and mutual respect. Plan, execute, and supervise initiatives related to accounting processes and systems, ensuring optimal outcomes and resource alignment.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or equivalent. 2+ years of accounting or audit experience, with prior exposure to the hospitality industry as a plus. Experience in preparing general ledger reconciliations, financial reports, and P&L reviews. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for creating innovative solutions.
