Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer. Senior

  • Designs a complete and complex framework, system, or product.
  • Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses.
  • Contributes to the framework (architecture) and act as a subject matter expert for components and design used across multiple products or systems.
  • Develop IO maps, interlock strategies, and identify component requirements for software developers.
  • Organizes and participates in design reviews of machine improvements and innovative designs, including FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Provides Subsystem design, documentation (schematics and assembly drawings), and packaging of sub-assemblies.
  • General working knowledge of 3D CAD design tools. CREO and or Solid Works implemented at TMEA.
  • Experience using engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD etc.) in the design process given strong consideration.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience; or master's degree with 6 years of related experience.
  • Ability to travel 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degrees in Physics, electrical, mechanical, or systems engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of development, deployment, and sustaining engineering on semiconductor wafer handling automation equipment, including load ports, wafer transport, and similar robotic equipment.

Salary Ranges

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
