Our team inSpace and Defense Groupis looking for a Machine Operator I on 1st shift to join them. You will report to the Machining Operations Supervisor and will have an onsite, 4/10 work schedule in Orrville, Ohio. 4/10 schedule: You work 4 days, Mondays-Thursdays, 10 hours each day and have Fridays off! This schedule allows employees to work 40 hours per week while still having an extra day off. To be considered for Machine Operator, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
High School diploma or GED preferred.Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Experience operating manual or CNC equipment. Possess a working knowledge of basic shop math, blueprint interpretation, sketch sheet interpretation and machine shop practices and terminology with some supervision. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions; to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure; to perform the four operations with like or common decimal fractions; to compute ratio, rate, and percent; to draw and interpret bar graphs; to perform arithmetic operations involving all American monetary units.
As a Machine Operator, you will:
Operate manual and CNC machines as required. Operate multiple machines at the same time. Operate hand drills, back spot facer, parts cleaner, inspection equipment i.e. micrometers (all types) calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, air gages, precision pins, height gages, and hand tools i.e. wrenches (box, hex, crescent,) etc. Learn GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ensure part quality by using assorted inspection equipment with supervision. Learn and/or maintain a current working knowledge of Moog policies and procedures. Set up assigned machines with some supervision. Learn machine shop practices and terminology. Load and unload fixtures/parts. Inspect parts with supervision. Acquire necessary tools and equipment to accomplish task. Operate overhead crane. Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment. Ensure proper time charging using Timecard processes. Learn to troubleshoot problems that arise during production runs. Follow direction to correct problems, achieve quality standards and meet schedule requirements. Learn to preset cutting tools as required. Learn to set-up, dial in fixture to achieve acceptable part. Learn to set-up adjust machine offsets to achieve acceptable parts. Document discrepant hardware. Communicate with other shifts to ensure smooth transition. Ensure paperwork requirements are fulfilled. Operate multiple machines at the same time as required. Learn to check tooling for proper settings and dimensions, make necessary adjustments. Complete work to meet schedule. Perform associated operations and/or functions using other types of machines and/or equipment as required with abundant supervision. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Must adhere to ethics compliance program. Receive guidance from supervision, meet deadlines, follow work rules, safety practices, company and work procedures. Regular attendance required. Work in a structured team atmosphere.

Salary Range Transparency: Orrville, OH $15.00-$21.00 Hourly
