We have a great opportunity for a Logistics Support Specialist to join our team based out of our West Jordan, UT facility. The Logistics Support Specialist will be responsible for performing tasks in connection with shipping goods, receiving incoming shipments, and organizing verifying physical inventory. May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received. This position also, maintains control and count of inventory stockThe truth of the matter is we want to employ the most talented and motivated individuals to build our team and it starts with you!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Be able to schedule shipments and complete necessary documentation.Efficiently process in-bound shipments against purchase orders and parts returns Able to receive shipments and manually move packages weighing up to 70 lbs.Trace missing or lost shipmentsAssemble wood and cardboard containers or pick preassembled containersRecord shortages and eliminate damaged merchandise, perform cycle countingRoute products to departmentsProperly package sensitive electronic products to ensure they arrive undamaged to destinationAttach identifying information and delivery instructions on containersCommunicate effectively to internal staff and externals staff or other groups in fulfilling parts requests and shipping demands.Follow company quality proceduresParticipation in some after hours On-Call rotation is required.
Requirements
QUALIFICIATIONSThe following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and / or regulatory requirements. High School diploma or equivalent2+ years' experience working in shipping receiving departments or equivalent work.The ability to use various types of manual and power tools.The ability to operate a computer and navigate Windows based programsThe ability to organize and prioritize tasks as well as the ability to be a self-starter with an attention to detail and accuracy.Current fork lift certification is a plus.Valid driver's license and nothing on record precluding being able to drive for the company
