Aon is looking for a candidate to fill our HYBRID Director - Risk Management role, located in Morris Plains NJ!

Hybrid - 3 days on site

Position Scope:

This full-time position, reports to the Vice President Risk Management

Communicates with all levels of management within Honeywell Corporate and our four business segments. Interacts with brokers, insurance companies, third party administrators, loss prevention consultants, attorneys and state and governmental agencies, all in accordance with the industry's standard processes and the Honeywell Risk Management Department philosophy.

Position Description:

Director, Risk Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Morris Plains, New Jersey.

  • The qualified candidate will be responsible to independently manage the global property & casualty, marine, transit and business travel accident insurance programs. This position will interact with brokers and insurance carriers to settle the terms and conditions, implementation and administration (including premium allocations) of these policies.
  • Independently manage on behalf of the Risk Management department the due diligence of potential mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Including integration post close.
  • Responsible for reviewing contracts to provide risk management guidance (for all coverages) minimizing exposure to Honeywell, while assisting growth opportunities within our business segments.
  • Manage the Honeywell global property and casualty including international policy placements in every country Honeywell conducts business.
  • This position will independently be responsible for the collection and analysis of the underwriting data and closely working with our brokers in presenting to the global insurance market.
Experience:

8-10 years, experience in corporate risk management and/or equivalent broker or insurer underwriter experience. Knowledge of alternative risk financing techniques and familiarity with captives. Property and casualty experience including claims administration and program placement. Use of specialized software for claims management, exposure collection and report processing.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Finance, Insurance or related field.
  • ARM, MBA or CPCU designations a plus

  • High level of negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to manage large networks of vendors/brokers
  • Broad knowledge of insurance coverages
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Finance background

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position is $190,900 to $225,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
