Tooling, Mold Maker

Position Summary:

The Mold Maker is responsible for building, revising, and maintaining Entegris and Customer-owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods, and techniques. With proven performance,e the opportunities to grow into a larger or different role exist. Providing additional support to the production teams, as well as helping cover on-call situations, can be available.

Hours for this role will be 1:30-11:30 pm, 4 days/week, or 1:30-9:30 pm, 5 days/week, with overtime opportunities. and shift differential

Responsibilities:

• Building new molds along with mold inserts for existing tooling.

• Ability to repair to allow quick turnaround with issues as they arise within the competency level.

• Maintains current and appropriate documentation in mold files. Completes all job-related documentation.

• Operates Tool Room equipment at a high level of competency (CNC Mills, CNC EDMs, and CNC Lathes to level of operation to proficient competency).

• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, miscellaneous tooling, and fixtures as required.

• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.

• Assembles production molds, cleans molds following standard procedures, and reassembles such as required.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• 2-year degree in moldmaking or completion of qualified apprenticeship program

• 3-5 years previous experience with mold making

• Ability to demonstrate problem solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during entire shift.

• Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts.

• Periodically, this position requires repetitive hand, wrist, and grasping of objects with fingers for extended periods of time.

• Ability to visually detect quality defects.

• Ability to work overtime and on-call schedule as required

*Compensation: $29.00-$40.00 hourly range with actual pay dependent on the candidate's overall skills for the role

* 10% Shift Differential: for 2nd shift
