Description

AR Specialist

Primary Purpose of the Position

The AR Specialist will be tasked with executing day to day duties including reviewing AR balances, preparing AR statements, contacting customers, and ensuring all invoices are submitted to the portal correctly.

Essential Functions:

Post customer payments and contact customers with any discrepancies
Send AR statements
Research and work with customers to clear past due amounts
Ensure all invoices submitted to customer portals are correct. Monitor and follow up for any invoices not approved and processed.
Ensure all invoices sync to accounting system from the Point-of-Sale systems
Post any write-off's
Review AR balances with General Managers and coordinate on the collections
Compare AR subledger to the General Ledger

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products
Strong math aptitude, Excel skills, and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills, both written and oral

Reports to: Accounting Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA: This position is nonexempt.

Travel: This position requires minimal travel.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May be required to work nights and weekends.
