Title: Commercial Property Inspector
Location: Flexible As an Inspector with a leading commercial loan servicer, you will play a vital role in supporting the asset management team by conducting property inspections and identifying potential risks in our portfolio of commercial/multifamily loans. Collaborating closely with analysts, asset managers, and other teams, you will ensure compliance with industry standards to help Asset Management implement strategies to mitigate risks. Additionally, you will assist in training and mentoring analysts and asset managers to become certified quality inspectors. Essential Functions: Conduct annual inspections for multifamily, senior housing, and commercial properties in compliance with JLL's best practices and the requirements of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Correspondent Investors. Identify and communicate potential risks to the lender, collaborating with analysts and asset managers to develop and monitor mitigation strategies. Stay informed about market conditions and local sub-market dynamics for properties being inspected. Assist with training programs for analysts and asset managers, ensuring their certification as quality inspectors through onsite and classroom training. Collaborate effectively with Asset Management and Business Enablement teams. Qualifications Required: Undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience performing at least 100 multifamily property inspections. Certified to conduct inspections for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Life Companies. Successful completion of the MBA's Inspection Course. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong verbal, writing, and organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under demanding deadlines. Proven track record of excellent communication skills. Ability to multitask and handle multiple transactions simultaneously. Ability to identify and assess risks. Detail-oriented with strong self-auditing abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various teams. Strong presentation skills and passion for teaching others. Physical Demands: Ability to physically inspect multiple residences, common areas, and comparable properties within the market. May involve standing, walking, climbing stairs, sitting, reaching, and bending. Travel approximately 50-60% required, including air travel and overnight lodging in different time zones. |
