RHD offers a generous benefits package, PLUS a sign-on bonus of $2,000 ($1000 paid upon successful completion of 90 days, $1000 paid upon successful completion of 180 days). Position Summary START (Systemic, Therapeutic, Assessment, Resources and Treatment) works collaboratively with the system of support to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-existing behavioral health needs/mental health concerns. Clinical Team Leader is responsible for the supervision START Clinical Coordinators and will ensure that crisis support, linkages, outreach, and consultation services are effectively provided for individuals with a developmental disability and behavioral health needs. Essential Duties and Functions
- Provide administrative supervision to clinical coordinators and provide daily clinical triage support
- Maintain linkages and relationships with community partners
- Ensure the coordination of support meetings and crisis plans for individuals served through START
- Share on-call responsibilities to ensure 24/7 response to crisis situations within one hour of call telephonically and within 24 hours of call face-to-face
- Participate in recurring meetings with the leadership team, clinical team, and resource center
- Development of cross-systems crisis plans, intake/assessments, intervention and outcomes and any other applicable documentations of services provided
- Maintain a small, active caseload (about 5 cases) until coordinator certification is achieved. Following certification, team leader caseload should be fluid and temporary to provide opportunity to support START clinical coordinators when needed
- Address emergency situations as they occur in the program according to established policies and procedures, and ensure communication of such situations in a timely fashion
Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain/maintain certification in PPD, CPR, First Aid, SCIP (Level 2), as needed per Agency policy
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested and/or necessary, including supporting alternate locations when assigned
- Adhere to flexible schedule that reflects the needs of the program(s)
- Maintain on-call responsibilities, as required
- Attend in-service training programs, clinical and academic conferences and workshops and other educational presentations to maintain current knowledge of relevant clinical issues and techniques
- Complete and submit all required paperwork both paper and/or electronic per compliance regulations
- Ensure that electronic individuals records and daily data input are maintained
- Ensure all required documentation is maintained in records in the prescribed manner
- Maintain small caseload for purposes of obtaining START coordinator certification.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or human service field (licensure preferred)
- 3 years' preferred experience providing services to people who have IDD and mental health/or challenging behavior needs
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Must be a certified START coordinator within 12 months of employment as a team leader
- Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent communication skills
