Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Gainesville, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for the on-time execution of all Supply Chain and Planning tasks for assigned programs.
  • Coordinate, drive, and track all supply chain functions, including material availability and On-Time Delivery.
  • Ensure all parts are available to production (internal and external) when needed.
  • Track the progress of the shortages coming from the production line and align what is being reported in the MRP system.
  • Coordinate communications between purchasing, planning, and engineering to ensure the program has the greatest chance of success, identify risk, and work with the teams on mitigation plans where constraints in the supply chain are identified.
  • Assist the 'Critical Change Board' (CCB) process by ensuring all materials delivered from suppliers and the backstops are at the latest design revision, reducing the risk of installing out-of-revision parts.
  • Attend program review meetings and be the voice of the Supply Chain within the IPT, providing input on material sourcing and client suppliers' capabilities.
  • Support purchasing agents with PO management and material expediting requests to support Program milestones.
  • This position contributes to our vision by ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of all supply chain and planning activities for assigned programs, which is crucial for delivering high-quality products to our customers on time.
  • The Program Planner plays a pivotal role in maintaining material availability, aligning production schedules, and mitigating risks in the supply chain by serving as the focal point for supply chain activities.
  • This directly supports the company's goals of operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, ultimately driving the success of our programs and the company's overall vision.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with procurement/supply chain/planning background in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with industry suppliers, product(s), and manufacturing capabilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Business or Finance.
  • CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM certification from APICS.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge.
  • Previous program management experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Excel.
  • Demand Forecasting Software knowledge.
  • Experience with basic forecasting models and rates of consumption models.
  • Must have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using computer programs in Windows/Office applications such as Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Must be able to generate written communication and operate required office equipment.
  • Ability to read and review written communication.
  • Speech and hearing abilities that allow individuals to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
  • Advanced understanding of planning tools and ERP Systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and training skills.
  • Experience with Database Reporting.
  • Flexible to customer changes and urgencies and makes good decisions under pressure; also, able to work reasonably overtime when needed.
