As USAC continues to support universal service impacting health care providers, educators, and consumers, it is critical now more than ever that we hire people equally passionate and committed to helping fulfill our mission. We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as an IT Asset Management Specialist III (Physical/Virtual) to join our IT team.

Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, you will:

  • Plan, develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure Inventory and Asset Management Program.
  • Create and maintain an Asset Inventory Hierarchy, to include the development, documentation and maintenance of infrastructure asset inventories, conditions, rating methodologies, levels of service and performance measures, risk scoring criteria.
  • Create maintenance strategies, repair/replace models, financial forecasts, and work plans associated with all asset classes.
  • Provide asset management insight and strategies for infrastructure and program decision-making using specific Asset Management plans.
  • Build and continuously improve an effective asset risk mitigation program to improve asset reliability, reduce risk, and optimize spending and capital investments.
  • Promote the use of infrastructure asset management concepts and best practices in a strategic and practical manner across USAC, including training to maximize the use and functionality of physical and virtual asset management software.
  • Develop project budgets and assist in the preparation of annual operational budget, capital improvement program and long-range financial plans, rate studies, and other related financial analysis.
  • Work with IT Operations team to ensure hardware assess are discovered and classified in the configuration management database (CMDB).
  • Update and reconcile hardware attributes such as environment, function, status, and business owners for all servers and network devices.
  • Develop and maintain a quarterly recertification process of ensuring all hardware assets are still in use and information is current.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, and/or relevant technical training and certifications.
  • Minimum of Five (5) to Seven (7) years of directly related experience, managing assets
  • Minimum of One (1) to Two (2) years of operational and/or technical leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Software licensing and hardware terminology.
  • Knowledge in ITSM, CMBD, and Excel.
  • Experience using a network discovery tool such as ServiceNow, Atlassian JSM, BMC Client Manager, or Microsoft SCCM.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
