Your Responsibilities as a Scientist: * Support clients in maintaining compliance in safety; stormwater; industrial waste; air quality; hazardous materials handling and storage; and hazardous waste storage, tracking, and disposal. * Support projects with compliance oversight in the field. * Perform compliance inspections on Apex projects. * Meet and discuss compliance issues with agency inspectors and regulators. * Support compliance audits. * Write technical reports. * Maintain familiarity with regulations pertinent to Apex projects. * Apply for regulatory permits. * Track permits. * Provide guidance and training to staff related to regulatory aspects related to ongoing projects. * Oversee field activities to ensure compliance with regulatory permits. * Actively develop your own career growth. What we're looking for: * BS/BA preferably in Environmental Science or related field or significant work experience in similar capacity. * 10+ years of experience with environmental compliance * Strong technical writing skills. * The ability to successfully multi-task * Strong safety background * Ability to maintain compliance records * 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred * Experience working in the field and directing field staff. * Experience with data management and report preparation. * Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required. * Strong verbal communication skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
