The Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology invites applications for a full-time, benefit eligible, non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor. While we are open to areas of instructional specialization, we are particularly interested in candidates who can offer classes on policing, corrections, and advocacy.

Position responsibilities include:

* High-quality undergraduate and/or graduate teaching,

* Internship development, professional mentorship, and career advising,

* Public criminology via community engagement and outreach with criminal justice and related practitioners, and

* Service to students, the department, the school, the university, and the discipline.

Successful candidates will work effectively with non-/traditional students from varied backgrounds, while supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.

This is a 9-month full-time, benefit-eligible, non-tenure-track ranked faculty appointment to begin August 2025.

A Ph.D. in criminal justice or closely related discipline is preferred, but candidates with a post-baccalaureate degree such as a master's degree in criminal justice or closely related discipline also will be considered.

Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
