Job Title: Laboratory Technician Location(s): Newark, DE Responsibilites: * Work with biochemists on daily basis in a wide variety of routine technical assignments. * Prepare buffers and reagent formulations following procedures. * Work in the laboratory running Syva Viva E, ProE, and Beckman AU analyzers with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin. * Perform data analysis from experimental runs and support the chemist to write internal reports and documentation. * Be part of the analyzer conversion projects for Syva drug testing production process controls. Qualifications: * BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry * Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques used in a chemistry lab (pH, pipetting, handling of chemicals and controlled substances), familiar with SAP for lot tracing and inventory level. * Experience with automated immunoassay analyzers and/or ELISA and chemiluminescent technology is a plus and can be trained. * Possess strong computer skills, good communication and interpersonal skills; Strong player in a team setting, be flexible and willing to learn and change. Required skills: * 1+ year job related experience, and quick to learn new skills. * Ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. * Strong work ethic and must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to switch priorities to meet business needs. * Understand and comply with the Quality System Regulation and OSHA safety requirements; Requires the basic knowledge of GMP regulations (GLP and GDP); Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and IVDD * You will need to work on DEA Controlled Substances and are required to have DEA Background Check clearance.
