The Director of Product Line Management is one of the key members in the cross-functional management team to drive product from concept, to prototype and to profitable portfolio. In order to manage a successful product development, the director of Product Line Management needs to deeply understand the product lifecycle requirements, working closely with the customer facing team in getting customer requirements and meeting customer expectations, working closely with the engineering team in product specifications, qualification and risk mitigation, and working closely with the operations team in supply chain security, manufacturability, capacity ramp-up and cost reduction.

Your Impact

*Engage with Customers: Attend meetings, showcase product features, and gather requirements.

*Drive Product Success: Lead the product through every stage of its life cycle, ensuring specs, quality, market timing, and profitability.

*Define Requirements: Establish clear product requirements.

*Present Roadmaps: Share the product and technology roadmap with customers.

*Execute and Review: Oversee all phases of the Product Life Cycle and ensure successful Decision Reviews.

*Shape Strategy: Influence strategic decisions on customer engagement, prioritization, and resource allocation.

*Collaborate with Operations: Partner with the operations team to enhance supply chain security, manufacturability, capacity ramp-up, and cost reduction.

Minimum Qualifications:

*BS or higher degree in Optical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

*10 plus years of experience in product management or product marketing

* Experience understanding client optics market and IEEE standardization, or a willingness to quickly learn.

* Experience with the full product life cycle process in product releases, with experience in Return on Investment analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through various professional or personal experiences.

* Knowledge of the client optics market and competitive landscape, or a strong interest and ability to quickly learn.

* Experience presenting in public forums, such as trade shows, conferences, or community events, or a willingness to develop these skills.

* Experienced in communicating a clear strategy and motivate team members, with demonstrated leadership skills in any setting.
