Receiving Supervisor

Position Description:


Hudson Tool Stee;, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for a Receiving Supervisor position. In this role you are responsible for supervising all receiving activities within the warehouse which includes verifying quantities, comparing to purchasing requirements, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Signs off on quantity of product received and shipment condition
* Counts, verifies quantity received, and checks for damage
* Compares receiving records to purchasing requirements
* Notifies Plant Manager or Supply Chain Manager of any discrepancies
* Understand and use Inventory Control System
* Organizes inventory
* Verifying purchased product (QC inspection)
* Disposition of material in appropriate area
* Tag/Mark color code on all incoming material
* Load / Unload trucks
* Assign inventory locations for received materials
* Vendor follow up for deliveries, missing material, quality issues, etc.
* Receiving material into the computer system
* Coordinate and manage activities of personnel helping in receiving

Position Requirements:


* High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
* Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting
* Knowledge of all warehouse machine and equipment operations
* Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
