General Purpose: Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of foods, which may include soups, salads, entrees, and desserts. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow recipes, controls, portion, and presentation specifications set by The Creamery
- Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Bake, grill, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Boil and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and sometimes serve food
- Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Cook, handle, and store food or ingredients
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and working with kitchen equipment

Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience
- Training related to culinary field and/or 1+ years of related work experience
- Certification and/or License - Culinary and food safety certifications preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Passion for food and culinary skills
- Able to understand orders and follow recipes to prepare dishes correctly
- Knowledge of food, quality, production, sanitation, presentation, and food cost control
- Customer service skills, including the ability handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism
- Basic troubleshooting skills for the repair and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment
- Attention to detail and able to multi-task
- Problem solving skills
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
