Summary

Summary:

This position is for someone interested in joining the MaineHealth Institute for Research team within the VaryLab, which also has responsibility for MHIR's Proteomics & Lipidomics Core Facility. This position will have responsibilities that include collaborative research projects and core facility work.This work includes human and mouse sample preparation, and state-of-the-art quantitativeanalysis of proteomic and lipidomic changes in several exciting contexts, includingprotein-protein interactions, cell signaling, cell secretomics, and disease-related changes in mitochondrial protein expression. Importantly, the candidate will have a unique opportunity for advancement by training in mass spectrometric instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis. Experience with molecular biologic as well ascell culture techniques is preferred, as is experience with mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography instrumentation.

This is a full-time, onsite research position at our Scarborough, Maine research facility.

We may consider applicants with less education and/or years of experience for a lower-level position.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required. Master's Degree preferred.

2. License/Certifications: N/A

3. Experience: Four years of relevant experience with a Masters Degree or six years of experience with a Bachelors Degree required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Research Associate I role.
