What You'll Be Doing:
  • Partner with Customers: Work closely with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide expert solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and specialty food service equipment.
  • Troubleshoot & Repair: Use your mechanical skills to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of kitchen equipment-everything from ovens and fridges to dishwashers.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturers: Reach out to manufacturers for support when diagnosing complex issues or identifying parts.
  • Provide Customer Recommendations: Promote other valuable services offered by Smart Care to enhance your clients' operations.
  • Keep Things Organized: Maintain detailed records, from work orders and time reports to truck stock inventory and receipts.
  • Stay Safe: Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized service vehicle with the right tools and parts for every job.
What We're Looking For:
  • Physical Requirements: You'll need to be comfortable with the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 70 pounds, working in various environments, and navigating tight spaces or heights.
  • Technical Background:
    • A high school diploma (or equivalent).
    • At least 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
    • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Availability & Flexibility:
    • Ability to participate in an emergency on-call rotation (including nights and weekends).
    • Willingness to travel occasionally for assignments.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Technical certifications (i.e., EPA, CFESA) and experience with commercial kitchen equipment repair is a plus.
    • A self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
